MANSFIELD – Superintendent Teresa Murphy is pleased to share that the Mansfield Public Schools have appointed Kristina Delaplain as the new Roland Green Preschool Director and Matthew McGuire as the new Qualters Middle School Principal.
"We are very excited to have Kristina and Matthew start in their new positions," said Superintendent Murphy. "Their dedication and expertise will greatly benefit our students and staff, and we look forward to seeing their continued impact on our community."
Kristina Delaplain - Roland Green Preschool Director
Kristina Delaplain most recently served as the interim director at Roland Green Preschool. Previously, Delaplain worked as a Special Education Teacher in the district. Delaplain has extensive experience working as a special education teacher, a special education administrator, and an elementary school vice principal and principal.
Delaplain graduated from Bridgewater State University with a bachelor's of education degree and a master's of education.
"As I embark on this new chapter in my professional journey in Mansfield, I am filled with anticipation and excitement," said Delaplain. "Drawing upon my extensive background in Early Childhood Education, gained through years of practical experience in various teaching and leadership roles, I am confident in my ability to make a meaningful impact. My ultimate goal is to establish a warm and supportive learning environment, where each child and family can enjoy a positive and enriching educational experience. Through building strong connections with staff, students, and families, I am eager to continue my work in this role and make a lasting difference in the lives of those I serve."
Delaplain emphasized that the importance of preschool education cannot be overstated, as it serves as a crucial period in children's brain development. The contexts and environments children are exposed to during this time significantly impact their growth and learning. By enrolling in high-quality preschool programs such as Roland Green, children can develop essential early skills that will prepare them for success in elementary school. Furthermore, preschool helps children form connections with their peers, instills academic knowledge, and teaches them how to navigate the school environment. Through preschool, children learn valuable social skills, time management, and self-help tasks that will benefit them throughout their academic journey.

Most recently he began the Leadership in Schooling EdD program at the University of Massachusetts Lowell as a doctoral student.
